So, I'm not sure if anyone is still going to read this. I didn't realize it had been quite so long since I posted. August went fast, then we went on vacation the beginning of September. I made it through one more week of work after that, and was out on bedrest until my little ones delivered. You think I would have had lots of time to post! But I just found I didn't really have anything to say. I was extremely lucky in that with the bedrest, I was able to make it until 37 and a half weeks before Noah and Arabella were delivered by c-section. We actually might have made it until 38 weeks, but I developed cholestasis at the end of the pregnancy. So, because of that, I was actually feeling pretty bad for the last few weeks. I've never had itching like the cholestatis caused!

Noah and Arabella were born on November 24th at 5:20 and 5:21pm. We were scheduled for an 11am c-section, but were bumped by three other c-sections that had to happen first because the babies were in trouble. Noah was 6lb 9 oz and 18 and a half inches, and Arabella was 5lbs even and 20 inches. I had some minor complications afterwards, and ended up with a blood tranfusion the next day. And then Noah lost too much weight so we ended up staying an extra day in the hospital. We were still having problems with weight gain at their 2 week appointment, but that seems to have gotten better. I'm breastfeeding them, and what I was taking as just a newborn having trouble sleeping was actually him being hungry. So, now that I know the signs, they're doing much better. We're still supplimenting both of them at least a couple times a day, but it's been almost only with my milk. I must admit, though, I'm looking forward to the day that I don't have to pump after every feed!

It's hard to believe that they're almost 6 weeks old already. Time is just flying by.

The picture above is from photos we went and had taken when they were 4 weeks old.
